Sufi Influence on Pakistani Politics and Culture

Abstract


Sufism has impacted Pakistani life from its introduction in the 8th century.  This paper explores some of the political, economic and social influences of Sufism, and how events in Pakistan's history have in turn shaped Sufi expression in Pakistan.
